Amazon.com is finally covering Tuff-Luv Sony PRS T1 cases under prime shipping. One of these would be your current best bet for a case, and a few of them which have an integrated stand would cost less than what I paid for my Verso Delta case (with stand, and under expedited shipping from Best Buy).
UPDATE - January 10, 2012
Found the Verso Delta ereader case (size small). It has a stand and works with Sony PRS T-1, quite well (though one of the corner straps covers the rightmost button, it does not press on it in the way needed to enable the button action). Bestbuy's website has it. As of today, that or one of the Tuff-Luv cases that take a long time to ship from the UK, are your best bet as a case. I did strongly consider a Tuff-Luv case but Best Buy won out because of their reasonable predicted shipping time (about a week to 10 days under free shipping - I paid 5 dollars extra to get the case in 2-3 days). I don't know when Tuff-Luv USA will start selling the cases, because that will greatly reduce shipping time. I am happy with my Verso Delta case, and I think it is much better than the official Sony case.
ORIGINAL REVIEW -
I love this ereader. I have two library cards and keep downloading ebooks directly on my ereader (no computer syncing at all is needed with such an intuitive touch web browser). Public library sites load very well on the ereader browser - you can check out and download ebooks immediately. You do have to enable Adobe Digital Editions before you download library books though - it takes less than a minute to do this directly on the ereader (no computer syncing needed, you just sign up for or log in a Sony bookstore account).
Bookmarks are very intuitive - just gently tap on the upper right corner reading the screen. Epub books render beautifully - pdf viewing is generally very clunky on such a small screen.
I took to this more than my Kindle Keyboard 3g, which has no touch.
I do wish I could get a case with a stand for this. The Kindle accessory market is loaded in comparison.
I use a full body sticker in a nice pattern and Sony's official case for the PRS T1 which fits very tightly and lets you keep the ereader in, while reading (unlike Gizmo Dorks). I haven't used a screen protector because they are hard to apply without creating bubbles.
I got Squaretrade's warranty too, from Amazon.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2011My first reader after much research. I decided on the Sony T1 because of the free use of Public Library books and the universal EPUB format that is usable on this reader. I believe in free enterprise and think Amazon, B&Nobel and others need to get into competition. I would not buy a reader locked into a particular format like Kindle or Nook.
OK, the Reader. It does what it says it does, provides a great reading experience. Sony has upgraded the software and made corrections to some minor glitches and I really love this thing. The E-paper is really good and the touch screen in good. I have been downloading Public Library books regularly and loving it. The Reader has nice touch screen features and the buttons are OK too. It is Android and you can actually surf the WEB but in Black and White which I find not desirable, but this is not for surfing, but reading. I have ordered the cover and plan to use for a long time. The dictionary feature is good and I use it with every book. The Reader is light weight and so far durable. I have had it one month and read 4 or 5 books. Also no ads is good for no more money. Good Reader.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2013I have had my Sony reader for eight months now. The reason I chose a reader over a tablet is battery life. I charged my reader when I first bought it. Since then it only get a charge when I plug it in to download books. I have never seen it less than full charge. I Chose Sony over the other readers because of the Large storage available (32 Gig). The other readers talked about sending my personal files into their cloud. The word "Cloud" means internet. I work on what maybe considered security sensitive equipment. I did not want hackers to have access. You may argue secure site. But the most secure is one that require plug-in access.
Most use reader for entertainment. I too enjoy reading a good book. But I bought my reader to keep my work notes and manuals on. I can access information that I would have to carry in seven large three ring binders. How? First Sony read text files. I loaded my work notes in text format. Later I wrote an epub book containing those same files. Writing an epub book is not that hard. Hey I do it right. Next I loaded the manuals from work into the Sony in pdf format, which it displays very well. Schematic drawing are particularly nice in pdf. I prefer the words in epub though so I will convert them. The epub schematics will be gif or png files linked to the text.
The only thing I can think of that would make the Sony better is if I could down load the notes I make on the reader directly to my computer. I could then include the note in my next e-book.
Oh, by the way my wife and daughter have another brand of reader. I have been able to convert some of my short stories from epub to to the format their reader takes.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2015Same faulty software as the one I bought several years ago. Frequently locks up, have to perform a reset each time. Battery indicator shows fully charged all the time and the battery will be discharged. I like this reader as you don't get adds shoved at you as with other readers and when it is working it is a great e-reader. Tried a PRS-T2 but it also has faulty software and no support form Sony.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Reading
I find books difficult to hold because of arthritis. The Sony Reader is light, easy to hold, and font can be enlarged.

Das ebook ist sehr schön und einfach in der Handhabung.
Der einzige Nachteil den ich gefunden habe ist das er ziemlich lange braucht um die Seiten zu wechseln.

5.0 out of 5 stars El mejor que conozco
Entre los e-reader que conozco, a falta de probar el nuevo Kindel, es el que mejores prestaciones ofrece. Es la nueva expwriencia en lectura. Dejarás a un lado el libro de papel.
